1919
  • Kitazawa Manufacturing Works founded in Kamisuwa,Nagano Prefecture,to start the production of valves and cocks.
1938
  • Toyo Valve Industry Co., Ltd. established by Kitazawa Manufacturing Works.
1943
  • Kitazawa Manufacturing Works reorganized as Kitazawa Industry Co., Ltd. with its head office in Tokyo.
1945
  • Resumed valve production for civilian use and became an designated manufacturer by Occupation Army Headquarter.
1946
  • Received the valve industry's first designation from the Tokyo and Nagoya Bureaus of the Japanese National Railways.
1947
  • Started the production of cast steel valves together with reopening export business.
1951
  • Designated as a JIS-approved factory for cast bronze valves.
1953
  • Toyo Valve Industry Co., Ltd. annexed to Kitazawa Industry Co., Ltd.
1955
  • As a JIS-approved factory, granted the Award from the Minister of Transportation for excellent quality control.
1963
  • Kitazawa Industry Co., Ltd. renamed Toyo Valve Co., Ltd.
1964
  • Recognized by MITI as the first valve manufacturer for its contribution to the export business.
1965
  • Completed an automated continuous bronze casting foundry, and introduced modernized valve machining operations.
1966
  • Qualified as an API(American Petroleum Institute)-approved factory.
  • Started the production of its newly developed ductile iron valves.
1971
  • Established Red-White Valve Corp. in the U.S. as a local marketing company.
1972
  • Qualified as Class ? authorized in spector(of high-pressure gas valves).
1974
  • Completed an automated assembly line of bronze valves.
1975
  • Completed the mass-production system of cast iron valves by installing the high-speed, high-pressure automated molding plant and integrated valve machining and assembling transfer lines.
  • Constructed a distribution center in Suwa City, thus ensuring quick,punctual delivery.
1979
  • Paid-in Capital \500 Million.
  • Introduced a fully automated high-speed flaskless molding machine.
1980
  • Installed a fully automated new Al, Zn diecast machine line.
1981
  • Introduced a watercooled hot-blast cupola furnace with the capacity of 6.5 tons per hour.
1982
  • Installed a new NC machining line of cast steel valves.
  • Introduced a high frequency electric melting furnace.
  • Introduced a new fluorescent X-ray spectrometer.
1983
  • Introduced a fully automated, new hot forging machine.
  • Introduced a new automated ball machining unit.
1984
  • Qualified for the production of“fire-safe ”ball valves conforming to API and BS Standards.
  • Received type approval from the Japan Waterworks Association for its nylon-lined valves.
  • Increased the number of fully automated hot forging machines.
1985
  • Increased the number of fully automated hot forging machines.
1986
  • Installed a new NC machining line of stainless steel valves.
1987
  • Completed an automated assembly & test line of forged ball valves.
1989
  • Raised its paid-in capital to \750 Million.
1990
  • Established Toyo Valve (Thailand) Co., Ltd. as an independent production corporation in Thailand.
1991
  • Established Tovalengi Co., Ltd. as a maintenance company.
1992
  • Raised its paid-in capital to \1750 Million.
1994
  • Received an approval for ISO(International Standardization Organization) 9001-Quality Systems for all products.
1997
  • Started the operation of Chino Factory.
1998
  • June: Sakae Kobayashi was appointed to the president.
1999
  • April,Toyo Valve Co.,Ltd.merged with Nihon Bulge Industrial CO.,Ltd. The company's capital was raised to \1,850 milion and Sakae Kobayashi was appointed a president of the new company.
  • November,received an approval for ISO9002 at Ashigara Factory.
2001
  • March: Concluded business tie-up with Higashio Mech Co.,Ltd. and Buerkert in Switzerland, and started a business of its "Easy Link" System together.
2004
  • March 31: Kitz Material Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Kitz Corp. took over the valve business from the former Toyo Valve Co., Ltd., and renamed itself Toyo Valve Co., Ltd.
  • April 01: The new organization made a start under the leadership of President, Hideki Ozawa
2007
  • December : Liquidated Toyo Valve (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (independent production corporation in Thailand.)
2009
  • April 01 : New top management has started.
    Yukio Osada becomes President Representative Director and Hideki Ozawa becomes Chairman Representative Director respectively.
2012
  • January 01 : A processing sector is divided and it transfers to KITZ Corp. which is a 100% parent company of our company.

    Mitsuo Otaki becomes President Representative Director.
